Here is a simple way to determine where you stand and find out who is competing with you.

1. Make a list of key words, phrases, benefits and markets. Aim for two or three words together and if you are local, make sure each term includes the region you serve. For instance: I am in marketing coaching Barrie. My list may look like this: No Cold Calls Barrie, referrals, marketing Barrie, networking marketing, networking tips, word of marketing, business referrals system, shoestring business building, niche your business, crafting a USP, become buzz-worthy.

2. Go to http://www.mrbob.ca/ and enter your keywords into the Keyword search box then see how you are listed and who else is competing with you.

3. Go to Google, Yahoo, MSN enter your keywords and see if you are listed and who else is competing with you.
